Winnie-the-Pooh, also known as Pooh Bear or Edward Bear, was created by A. A. Milne. and was first seen in the 1926 book 'Winnie-the-Pooh', shortly followed by an appearance in 'The House at Pooh Corner' in 1928. A few poems about Winnie the Pooh also appeared in childrens poem books such as 'When We Were Very Young' and 'Now We Are Six'. Pooh was illustrated by E. H. Shepard.

The Walt Disney Company later created Winnie the Pooh into a series of featurettes and have since become a huge worldwise franchise. Being so popular around the world, the Winnie The Pooh stories have translated into a whole range of languages, such as Winnie ille Pu.
